Clinical Psychologist

Hi, I'm Dr. Rana

I believe that people are not defined by what has happened to them, but rather the meaning they give to their experiences. My approach starts with curiosity and compassion, and my practice is rooted in evidence-based methods. Together, we will take the time to figure out what is going on, what might help, and how to move forward toward a sorted narrative.

Where We Begin, What We Notice Along the Way, and How We Move Through It Together

A trauma psychologist with short dark hair, wearing a striped sweater, sits at a cluttered desk, resting their chin on their hand. Books, papers, and a laptop are scattered about. Shelves with plants and decor fill the background.
A small stack of books and a closed notebook sit on a table next to a clear glass jar holding red Lego roses, creating a calming space that could belong to a trauma psychologist, against a plain blue wall.

My approach is grounded in research and shaped by each person’s context. I draw on attachment theory, cognitive behavioural strategies, and narrative therapy— always with the goal of helping clients make sense of their experiences.

I don’t believe that we “let things go” – instead, we move forward with the legacy of what happened us, and the meaning that we give those experiences.

That’s why I don’t look for quick fixes or generic advice. I start with genuine curiosity, believe in thoughtful conversations, and help you step back and reflect.

You don’t have to make sense of it all on your own

Some things take time to understand. That’s why we sort through them together.

Much of the work I do revolves around relationships — with partners, parents, children— and often, the relationship we have with ourselves. Sometimes people come to me during a transitional time. Other times, it’s just a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right. Either way, I help you make sense of what is going on.
